Passaic County will be holding full Passport Service's, Veterans ID's, and notary registration the last Tuesday of each month in 2015 at the North Haledon Municipal Building from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Click here for dates.

Wednesday evening two young residents of the Borough of North Haledon were struck by an automobile on High Mountain Road, and injured.  I am asking that all the resident keep them and their family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. - Mayor 

The Borough of North Haledon now has a permanent drug drop box in their police department headquarters lobby for citizens to safely dispose of expires, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.  Click here for more information.


Please be advised that the Manchester Utilities Authority will be commencing its Annual Fall Hydrant Flushing. Monday thru Thursday beginning Monday September 28, 2015 between the hours of 8:00 am and 12:00 am.  The flushing program is expected to continue for approximately four weeks ending October 23rd, 2015.  These are many of the steps we are taking to improve the quality of our water. 

During this time you may experience decreased water pressure and discolored water. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause you.

Beginning September 2015, recycling curbside pickup will be four times a month.  First and third Wednesday of the month will be paper and cardboard and the second and fourth Wednesday will be commingled.  Please remember all commingled items must be put in a dumpable container.  DO NOT put recyclables in plastic bags; recycling in plastic bags will not be picked up.  Paper and cardboard must be bundled together.   

Recycling and Garbage should be put out the night before!  Pickup times could vary by week.

Information and precautions to take if you observe a coyote.  Click here for information from the NJDEP, Division of Fish and Wildlife. If you observe coyotes in the daytime that show no fear of humans or if a coyote attacks a person, immediately contact your local police and the Division of Fish and Wildlife at 908-735-8793; outside of normal business hours call the DEP Hotline at 877-WARN-DEP.

Brush/Branch Drop Off

Brush and branches no bigger than 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet long can be dropped off at the recycling center.  No trees or bases of trees will be picked up curbside, nor will they be accepted at the recycling center. Brush/branch drop off is only permitted on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Tree Branch Removal 

If a tree fell on your property, it is your responsibility as the property owner, to have the tree removed by contacting a tree contractor.  No trees or bases of trees will be picked up curbside, nor will they be accepted at the recycling center.
