Passaic County will be holding full Passport Service's, Veterans ID's, and notary registration the last Tuesday of each month in 2015 at the North Haledon Municipal Building from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Click here for dates.

Sicomac Road Section 2 - Road Improvements

On or about April 17, 2015, construction will commence on Sicomac Road.  This project consists of drainage improvements, curbing, milling and paving.  This work is funded by the NJDOT (New Jersey Department of Transportation). 

There will be some inconveniences regarding access to and from the residences and businesses.  Every effort will be made to assure that the inconveniences are minimal.  All work will be completed as quickly as possible.  Please be aware of the “No Parking” signs which will be posted.

Any questions or specific concerns you may have can be addressed by contacting Mr. Peter Pannucci of Boswell McClave Engineering at 201-373-8903.  We apologize for any inconvenience you may be experiencing due to the construction activities and appreciate your cooperation.

North Haledon Water Customers:

Please be advised that the Manchester Utilities Authority will be commencing its Annual Spring Hydrant Flushing. Monday thru Thursday beginning Monday, April 27, 2015 between the hours of 9:00 pm and 12:00 am.  The flushing program is expected to continue for approximately four weeks ending May 22, 2015.  During this time you may experience decreased water pressure and discolored water.

Missed Stops?  If your garbage was missed call Suburban Disposal 973-675-5451.  If your recycling was missed call Galaxy Recycling 201-420-4321.

Brush/Branch Drop Off

Brush and branches no bigger than 6 inches in diameter and 6 feet long can be dropped off at the recycling center.  No trees or bases of trees will be picked up curbside, nor will they be accepted at the recycling center. Brush/branch drop off is only permitted on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday.

Tree Branch Removal 

If a tree fell on your property, it is your responsibility as the property owner, to have the tree removed by contacting a tree contractor.  No trees or bases of trees will be picked up curbside, nor will they be accepted at the recycling center.  

Yellow Dog Project:  If you see a dog with a yellow ribbon, this is a dog who needs some space.  Click here for more information.
