Update on Paving and Milling for Borough Owned Streets:
They are scheduled to start milling on Wednesday, July 18th. The milling should take approximately 8 to 10 days (weather permitting). Paving will start approximately on Tuesday, July 24th. The paving should take approximately 6 to 8 days (weather permitting). The following roads will be paved - North Haledon Ave, Squaw Brook Road, Dawn Ave, Louise Place, Ruth Place, Morningside Ave, Evergreen Ave, W. Overlook Avenue, School Street, Dater Street, Central Ave, Thornton Drive, Dorothy Drive, Sturr Street, Melissa Ave, Roosevelt Ave, Meadow Place, Suter Avenue, Venna Avenue, Gionti Place, Glen Place, and Sicomac Ave

Interested in learning more about redevelopment zone
If residents wish to inform themselves about information regarding the redevelopment zone and the possibility of additional townhouses/ apartments on Belmont Avenue, the Mayor will be happy to meet with them anytime. All the information regarding the above, is at the Municipal Building, such as charts and photo renderings. The Mayor would suggest meeting at the Municipal Building, pick a night or afternoon, and he will make himself available. You can also attend the third Wednesday of the month Mayor and Council Meeting or attend the Planning Board Meeting on the second and fourth Thursday. Saw Mill Road Culvert closure
The County's Contractor will be repairing the culvert on Saw Mill Road, beginning on (or about) April 23, 2018. The project requires a road closure, so look for detour signs or plan an alternate route. The project duration will be approximately 140 days.

Response to need for Ambulance Coverage:
At the Council Meeting on October 18th, the Borough of North Haledon and the City of Paterson entered into a Shared Services Agreement for Emergency Medical Services with the Paterson Fire Department. The Paterson Fire Department will be responding to all ambulance calls in the Borough of North Haledon, except for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and midnight, when the North Haledon Volunteer Ambulance has a duty crew. Whenever possible, patients will be given a choice of destination medical centers located in Paterson or Wayne. Patients’ requests to be transported to medical facilities in other New Jersey municipalities will be considered providing the request does not compromise the health of the patient. Paterson will bill customers using its emergency medical services through customary billing procedures, and will accept assignment from the patient’s insurance company, but will not balance bill, and if the patient does not have insurance coverage, Paterson will not send the patient a bill.
