Tax Department

Due to not receiving the tax rate, the pink bill you received in the mail is the estimated tax bill.
If you have a bank that pays your taxes, this is for your information only.
Taxes are due on August 1st. You can pay online at northhaledon.com or you can put your payment in the tax payment box on the front of the Municipal Building. You will receive your regular tax bill in the fall.

Taxes are due as follows:

February 1st    May 1st     August 1st     November 1st
**To avoid interest charges, taxes must be paid by the 10th of the month**

VETERANS:
If you are a veteran that served in active duty make sure you have filed an application with the tax assessor to get a deduction in your taxes.  Click here for application.

SENIOR CITIZENS:

If you are over 65 and are under the $10,000 income limit, file an application with the tax assessor to get a deduction on your taxes.  Click here for application. 

Tax Collector Drop Box - There is now a drop box located in the lobby of the North Haledon Police Department for "after hour" tax payments.  Payments during the day should be brought to the Tax Collector's Office.  Payments dropped in the box must be made  by checks or money orders.  No cash will be accepted.  The Tax Collector will empty the box at 9:00 am Monday through Friday, except holidays.
